Terms of use
mesh2nurbs is a free tool that converts triangle meshes into NURBS surfaces in your browser. By using it you agree to these terms.
Provided as is
mesh2nurbs is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that it works on your computer, that it is free of errors, or that a conversion succeeds or finishes.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage or loss arising from the use of the site or of its results, including lost data, lost time, faulty parts or buildings, or costs of rework. Some countries do not allow certain limitations; there, they apply only as far as allowed.
Check every result
The converter approximates your mesh. The surfaces it makes can differ from the mesh and from the design you intended, even when the reported accuracy is within your limit. Check the results yourself, in your CAD software and against your own requirements, before you use them for manufacturing, construction, engineering, safety-relevant or any other real-world purpose. You are responsible for the use you make of the results.
Your models and your rights
- Only open models you are allowed to use and convert. You are responsible for having the rights (copyright, licences, confidentiality) to the files you open and to what you do with the results.
- Your files stay on your device: they are converted in your browser and not uploaded (see Privacy). We claim no rights over your models or the files you download.
- The sample chess set is “A Beautiful Game” by the ASWF (MaterialX Project), glTF conversion by Ed Mackey, under CC BY 4.0: credit them if you share it or results made from it.
Fair use of the site
Do not attack, overload, scrape or try to break the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may change, limit or stop the site at any time, without notice.
Open-source software
mesh2nurbs is built with open-source software and assets, each under its own licence. They are listed, with their licence texts, on the Licences & credits page.
